If you've set up BexyTV or any other IPTV app before, you've likely seen the term M3U. Here's what it actually refers to.
M3U in plain terms
M3U is a plain-text playlist file format. In IPTV, an M3U playlist (or an M3U URL that generates one) lists all the channels available to your subscription along with the technical information a player app needs to stream each one.
M3U link vs. login credentials
Some IPTV apps ask you to paste in an M3U URL directly. Others use a username, password and server address instead (often referred to as Xtream Codes access), which achieves the same result through a login screen rather than a raw playlist link.
Keeping your playlist details private
Your M3U URL or login details are tied to your subscription — treat them like a password and avoid sharing them publicly, since they control access to your account.
